Hello, my name is César Carrascal, I am from Peru, and I am doing a Thesis about environmental art in Lima. I am a student from de National School of Art of Peru (ENSABAP) , and I am in the last years of the Academic Program of Art Education. We, in Lima, have serious problems of polution in the sea, so my project is about create conscience in the students by environmental art. One of my strategies is to use recycled materials from the beach.

I found your work very very interesting, and write to you just to congratulate you. I have being looking for all the web and I found that your projects have similar goals than mine. I hope you continue in this remarkable labor. In the next days I will explore all the posibilities about the productions with recycled materials to create strategies for my classes.

I hope we can create a open way to share any kind of information, not only with me, but with all my friend of the Art education program that have several ideas of using recycled materials. I also hope to share with you any posibility that I could find for my classes and results

Not quite "art", but I make housing for mason bees out of rolled newspaper, nested inside empty aseptic milk cartons, inside a wood box cut out of old cedar fencing. I have a post, in our nature blog, about mason bees including a couple of photos of the housing, (along with some decidedly less recycled products). Here is the link: http://olypollinators.blogspot.com/p/housing-mason-bees.html

I really enjoyed reading your posts. I am an artist who creates only from trash, so reading your posts is very inspiring. I recently started my own blog about the effects of garbage & garbage art. Feel free to check it out @ brendontrashy.wordpress.com
