November Recycled Art Rabbit

bottlecap-rabbit.jpg

This month’s recycled art rabbit was purchased at a vintage junk shop in Tacoma.  The story told is that it was made by the Danes of Tacoma (hence the Carlsberg beer bottle caps).  We think the umbrella and walking stick make it a very Pacific Northwest rabbit, and especially appropriate for November.  Lave kunst ikke affald!

glad you enjoy it! sometimes I like really tacky, silly things, and this rabbit, with its googly craft store eyes and blobs of glue, is just one of those FUN things. not everything needs to be earth shattering and cutting edge ;-)

Reminds me of what the San Quintin prisoners made with sea shells. They used to have a gift shop in the parking lot where you could by them.
The bottle caps are a new twist.

prison art is a fascinating subset of recycled art!
