Art Dolls for Arts Walk
I was at AG Bell Elementary in Kirkland on Monday and Tuesday, where I had a fun working with 5th and 6th graders, but did not get a chance to take any pics of the recycled art dolls that were made (hope Michelle sends some!). I did, however, take some pics of the dolls created by Paul Rock’s primary grade class at Lincoln Elementary here in Olympia; they are up at Newbury Bay Ltd until Wednesday morning. The dolls all have a plastic water bottle with an old sock stretched over it for a body, decorated with fabric scraps, buttons and beads, and photographs for a face. This baseball player has a bat made out of masking tape and a chop stick.
