This Re-Usable Life: PDX
In this episode of This Re-Usable Life, we head two hours south to Portland, home of Hippo Hardware. Ruby Re-Usable does not get to PDX as often as she would like, considering it is not that far from Olympia.
But this is going to be the year that Ruby gets it together to join Junk to Funk, who encourage you to dive into the nearest dumpster and come out with a flashy, functional, funky getup to show off on the runway. You should join them, too: call for entries info HERE
Next we will visit with Tess Beistel of Cracked Pots, a group committed to sustainable living and to reclaiming items headed to landfills by transforming them into whacky and wondrous works of garden ornamentation.
Finally, we will check out SCRAP, where the School and Community Reuse Action Project’s mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational and affordable materials to the community
