Green for Halloween 2008
Ruby Re-Usable has always been green … here she is as a chloroplast, Halloween 1977, with Cliff Sadof (those are cheese doodles on his antennae) and two other green folks from the Committee for Intermediate Technology at Rutgers University. Read about Green for Halloween at TreeHugger HERE
so I did not bring my camera out tonight, big mistake, I wish I had taken pics while sitting on Bil the Flesterer Fleming’s stoop. Bil quickly ran out of candy and proceeded to give out treasures from his treasure box: sea shells, rocks, tiny plastic toys, pencils, hotel soap, assorted junk from the junk drawer … and the kids LOVED it! I sat there in my Day of the Dead bride costume, sipping a beer and watching the trick or treaters carefully comb through Bil’s collection, choosing a shiny bead or maybe a bottle cap, and they all said TRICK OR TREAT and THANK YOU. The lack of candy did not faze them, it was very sweet. Next year I think I will donate some of my junk … there are just so many ways to be green for Halloween!
Ah yessss….Happy Halloween!!!!
