Celebrate Trashnukkah

It is the 4th night of Hanukkah, and so we here at Olympia Dumpster Divers have been searching for some recycled Judaica with a festival of lights theme to share with you.  How about a Hanukkah menorah (otherwise known as an hannukiah) made from recycled glass:

or a Star of David made from reused Goya cans:

and of course, there is always the dreidel made from an empty milk carton

Make Art Not Waste and Happy Trashnukkah to all!

what a selection! The menorah is so beautiful and Godzilla is great fun!

thanks, Juliet! I was actually surprised at the dearth of Hanukkah-related items made from recycled materials, other than kids’ projects (and even those were slim)

I am going to double my efforts at finding Trashnukkah stuff for NEXT year, and start creating some cool recycled Hanukkah-themed stuff myself!
