I wrapped Mellington Cartwright, a recent Evergreen grad who is moving to Santa Fe to pursue her art career (smart girl!). I don’t have any pics to post yet, but Mel’s mother took some pictures, which she promised to send to me soon. This figure will become the Dreamer at the Farmers’ Market Garden. Mike C documented part of the process for the Olympia Arts Commission (he said that he would send me some pics, too).

Today the Olympian ran an article and a nice picture about the Observer on the bus. I do not like the term “soft sculpture” and wish the reporter had not used that phrase. More about that later.

The Observer moved to Last Word Books, where it will be until Monday, July 31, and then? I don’t know yet! Spontaneity is part of the mystery of this temporary art installation.
