Olympia Dumpster Divers are gearing up for the City of Olympia’s fall Arts Walk, Friday, October 5, 2007. Cast Off Art Studio will host guest artist Nora Walsh, who creates intricate collages out of carefully cut recycled papers, including paper bags and wrapping paper and the backs of security envelopes (image above by Nora Walsh, from the Java Divas exhibit curated by Diane Kurzyna at South Puget Sound Community College gallery, 4/2006).

The artists at the Olympia Free Wall were busy this weekend, working on the art that keeps Oly interesting. I am so glad that I was able to see this piece in progress yesterday (below); wonder if it is still there today? The wall changes so fast when the weather is good, so I am grateful to enpen and chaney and everyone else who posts pics of this dynamic place.
